Privacy
The short version
This is a portfolio. I don’t sell anything, run ads or keep a mailing list. Google Analytics loads when you open a page and sends cookieless measurements. Analytics cookies are optional and are only enabled after you press “Accept” on the cookie note.
Who I am
Luka Krčmar, a product designer based in Croatia, runs this site and is the controller of any personal data it handles. You can reach me at me@lukakrcmar.com.
Google Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Ltd.) on each page using Google’s advanced consent mode. Before you accept, and if you decline, Google receives consent signals and cookieless measurements, such as page visits, timestamps and referrer information. These requests still contact Google; cookieless does not mean that no data is sent.
If you accept, Analytics can also set the _ga and _ga_* cookies, which last up to 2 years, and collect things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, and how you arrived.
- Analytics cookies are used with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and advertising storage is never granted.
- GA4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses.
- Google may process data in the US under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Analytics data is kept for 2 months, then deleted.
If you decline, Analytics continues sending cookieless measurements, but analytics storage stays denied and existing analytics cookies are deleted. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not saved a choice, analytics storage also stays denied.
Changing your mind
You can at any time, also from the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent disables analytics storage and deletes its cookies; cookieless measurement continues. Your choice is saved in your browser for 12 months, after which you’ll be asked again.
Other things on the page
- Fonts come from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
- The booking calendar is embedded from Cal.com. What you enter there is handled under Cal.com’s privacy policy.
- Your theme choice (light or dark) and your cookie choice are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email me and I’ll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Croatian data protection authority, AZOP, or the one where you live.
